Resilience Business Cup 2018 - Energy, Water & Social Innovation
Arrangementsbeskrivelse
Resilience Business Cup is a competition and an annual conference held for the first time in Vejle 25-26 October 2018. The focus is to bring together startups, corporates, and the 100 Resilient Cities* to make a global impact together.
This year the cup and its corporate partner are focusing on challenges in: Water, Energy and Social Resilience.
The screened startups will work alongside Vejle Municipality, corporates and experts to rethink and discover better solutions for managaging water and energy supplies, as well as social resilience through blockchain and sensor technology.
Who can participate?
Municipalities, corporates, startups, and citizens are invited to take part in the Keynotes from our prominent speakers as well as the Masterclass on Thursday 25th October, 09.00 - 13.30.

* As the only city in the Nordic countries, Vejle is a member of the global network 100 Resilient Cities – a network created by the Rockefeller Foundation aiming to help cities around the world become more resilient to the economic, social and physical challenges we face in the 21st century.

Fokuset er at matche startups, corporates og byer fra 100 resilient Cities-netværket, så de sammen kan gøre en forskel. Derudover vil der være et startup-spor, hvor screenede startups skal arbejde side om side med store virksomheder, kommunen og eksperter på området for at løse konkrete udfordringer fra byer i 100RC-netværket.
Årets temaer er Vand, Vind og Social Resiliens, og vil blive understøttet af blandt andet Siemens, Grundfos, +impact by Danske Bank.
Vejle er som den eneste by i Norden medlem af det globale netværk 100 RC, 100 resiliente byer - et initiativ startet af Rockefeller Foundation med det formål at ruste medlemsbyerne til større modstandskraft overfor de økonomiske, sociale og fysiske udfordringer vi møder.
Initiativtagerne til Cuppen er den grønne investeringsfond Insero, startup-virksomheden Valuer.ai og Vejle Kommune, som er det eneste danske medlem af 100 Resilient Cities.
